What does a franchise operator actually do?
They own a defined territory: onboarding the retailers and couriers in it, resolving disputes locally, and earning from the deliveries that happen there. Scorto supplies the software, the payments rail, and the oversight tooling.
In more detail
An operator is an owner rather than a regional employee. Scorto does not run every city itself. It sells the right to run one, with a boundary the software enforces on every delivery address.
The reason it is structured this way: recruiting restaurants and vetting couriers is local work that rewards knowing the area and the people in it. That is difficult to do well from somewhere else.
